"Industry professionals invariably work long hours and just don't have time to attend festivals to see what's 'out there'. They also have legal issues with accepting unsolicited work, so we're offering them an alternative.

A showcase. It’s based on the festival format, but it’s going to be produced as a screening.

How long is the event going to last?

About 90 minutes. The after party is however long you want to make it!

So how many trailers do you plan to screen?
M
About forty, which is enough for anyone in one session.

So you’re limited the number of trailers that get accepted?
M
Not at all. We’re only limiting the number that will be screened. If our selection team gives a trailer high enough points, we'll include it on the DVD. Just a selection from the DVD will be screened, and a copy of the DVD will be given to everyone.

Will only the best ones be screened?

No, an equal selection of each genre. So no one gets bored!

So where will the festival be held?
M
At the ICM screening room here in Century City.

What happens if someone can’t make the screening?
M
We’ll mail them a DVD.

So if a producer requests a DVD and he's interested only in Reality, will he have to watch trailers for features and TV pilots?
M
No, we'll separate each category. We’re also going to screen six trailers made by disadvantaged children from L.A.

Are they going have to go through the selection process?
M
No, we’re not that mean!

Are you looking for sponsors?
M
Yes, we are. Profits from the festival go to Steps for Recovery. So sponsors will be contributing to a 501 non-profit foundation.
